FOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH... IF YOU MEET ANY OF THE FOLLOWING POINTS, GET MOVING NOW!
Over time, “signs” of declining health and/or social obsolescence begin to appear, yet due to the busy lives we lead, we often prioritize other things and ignore these signs. One common mistake we make is always putting others before ourselves – whether it’s our children, partner, work, money, or projects – and neglecting our own well-being. We tell ourselves that we’ll take care of ourselves, rest, see the doctor, or exercise when there’s time, but that fantasy never becomes reality. Gradually, our health and social abilities decline, ultimately affecting our quality of life and well-being.
While it may sound logical, the following points serve as a wake-up call for ourselves that we need to do something to stay healthy, productive, and mentally and physically active.
- Your life is sedentary, and you’re a workaholic.
- You’re losing agility.
- Bending down is difficult for you, and/or you snore a lot.
- You walk fewer than 5,000 steps per day.
- You’re gaining weight.
- You have issues with blood pressure.
- You’re over 40 and are known for only drinking at parties and gatherings.
- Your partner enjoys dancing but never dances with you.
- The person you like enjoys dancing, but you refuse to learn.
- Your partner no longer wants to attend parties with you or prefers to go alone because they get bored with you.
- You want to socialize with someone but don’t know how.
- You’re divorced and out of practice when it comes to meeting new people.
- You and your partner always do the same things and need to try something new, different, and fun.
- You get out of breath when you walk.
- You feel that your life is dull.
